Eating for Your Future Self

In other words, we end up prioritizing the rush of indulging in tempting foods and ditching our healthy intentions because we fail to imagine and identify with our hoped-for selves.

Here’s are my favourite tips to help reset your food choices.:

  • choose as much organic food as you can afford

  • eat all the vegetables that you want; except corn (it’s not a veggie)

  • high quality protein at every breakfast and lunch

  • nuts and seeds

  • cold pressed olive oil and coconut oil

  • fresh or frozen fruit

  • be well hydrated; water, herbal teas

  • Step back from foods that are sabotaging your healing. Specifically, this includes all processed sugars and sweeteners, any type of flour, all dairy foods, all foods containing gluten, alcohol, and processed foods from boxes, bags, cans, and cartons (whole food choices e.g. frozen fruit, frozen veggies/fish, canned beans with no additives are good exceptions).

Remember: a moderate reduction vs. elimination may prevent you from making solid progress.

I highly recommend this recipe book for helping you navigate the most common food choices derailing your success. [The Wahls Protocol Cooking for Life]

I invite you to book a Discovery Call if you’d like to talk more about solving your digestive distress.
