Are you intrigued by the body benefits of ferments? Thinking that you might want to try out this practice for yourself? I’m going to give you the tips +tricks on the process. Home fermenting is super cheap and relatively easy to get started.

Fermented foods are foods that have been through a process of lacto-fermentation in which natural bacteria feed on the sugar and starch in the food creating lactic acid. This process preserves the food, and creates beneficial enzymes, b-vitamins, Omega-3 fatty acids, and various strains of probiotics.

We are going to learn how to make Switchel (the easiest fermented beverage to make…EVER!) and a classic Dill Sauerkraut.
